A taste of it
Video is excellent for showing how something looks, moves or sounds: a procedure, a behaviour, a machine, a system. It is poor at teaching dense facts, rules or policies the learner must look up later. In those cases use a short video for the overview and a one-page guide for the detail. Write each objective as: After this video, the learner will be able to [action verb] [thing] [to this standard]. Use verbs you can observe.
