Video Return Calculator Beta
What your video can return.Worked out with your own numbers.
A film pays back in more ways than views. It saves your sales team hours, reaches fifty people in the time it takes to talk to five, fills your social pages and brings in more enquiries. Pick the kind of video, enter your investment and see each of those worked out step by step.
This calculator is in beta and still learning. The results are estimates worked out from the numbers you enter, not a sure-shot forecast or a guarantee. Real results depend on how the film is used, your market and your offer.

- Every number is editable
- A cautious case beside it
- Beta: an estimate, never a promise

WhatsApp, done well
From one film to fifty conversations.
A salesperson can hold about five good conversations a day. A film that explains the product can be sent to fifty people in the same time, and the ones who reply are already warm. This is where most of the extra reach on the calculator comes from. Broadcast lists on the WhatsApp Business app reach people who have saved your number, and larger opted-in lists go through the WhatsApp Business Platform with approved message templates.
- 01
Build a list of people who said yes
Customers, past enquiries, event visitors and partners who have saved your number and agreed to hear from you.
- 02
Send the film with one line and one ask
Greet by name, say in one sentence what the film shows, and ask for one thing: a reply, a call, a visit.
- 03
Answer replies yourself, quickly
The film starts the conversation. A person finishes it, ideally within the hour, while interest is high.
Do
- Ask people first, and make it easy to say stop
- Keep the message to three lines or fewer
- Send at sensible hours, and not every day
- Split lists by interest so each film fits the reader
Do not
- Buy lists or message people who never asked
- Send the same film again and again
- Hide the ask at the end of a long message
Example with the starting numbers: 50 films sent a day over 22 working days is 1,100 sends a month. At a 2% reply rate that is about 22 interested replies a month. Change the figures in the calculator above to match your own list.
How we calculate
Plain sums, no hidden multipliers.
Every figure on the calculator is a short chain of numbers you can read and change. Revenue is counted as gross profit, what you keep after the direct price of delivering the sale. The first two months count for less while the film settles in. The cautious case counts half of everything.
It is an estimate, not a guarantee. Your own figures will always beat our starting ones, so please change them.
- 01
Time saved
Hours of explaining, training or visiting that the film takes over, multiplied by what that time is worth to you.
- 02
Extra reach
More people who receive the film each day, the share who reply, and the share of those who become customers, counted at your gross profit.
- 03
Purchases avoided
Short social videos and demos you would otherwise have paid for separately, counted at their price.
- 04
More enquiries and wins
A small lift in website enquiries, tenders won or hires made, counted at what each is worth to you.
No. It is an estimate worked out from the numbers you can see and change on this page. We cannot promise results, because they depend on how well your team uses the film, your market and the quality of your offer. The cautious case shows half of every figure so you can see the film still makes sense if things go slower than hoped.
Each use of the film becomes a short chain of numbers: hours your team saves, extra people reached, short videos you would otherwise buy, extra enquiries, and so on. Revenue is counted as gross profit, which is what you keep after the direct price of delivering the sale. Time saved and purchases avoided are counted at their value. Everything is added over the first 12 months, with the first two months counted at a lower share while the film settles in.
They describe a typical mid-sized business that sells to other businesses. They are a starting point, not a measurement of your company. Change each one to match what you know. Your own figures will always be better than ours.
Because the number of uses stays the same while the investment grows. A larger film earns its place when it is used in more places: more training groups, more people reached, more short videos, more tenders. Use the ideas below the results to add them, and the figure moves.
Only to people who have agreed to hear from you. Messages to people who never asked can break WhatsApp rules and Indian law on unsolicited communication, and they get your number blocked. The reach figure on this page assumes a list of people who have opted in, or who you already have a relationship with.
The return is measured against the investment before GST, since most businesses claim GST back as input credit. The pricing planner shows both.
It depends on how you will use it. A 3D film or a corporate shoot tends to support larger sales, so each win is worth more. An explainer or a 2D film is used more often, so it earns through volume and time saved. Switch the tabs and compare with your own numbers.
Then trust it, and look at the ideas below. The usual fixes are to use the film in more places, send it to more people, or plan short cut-downs at the start. If it still does not make sense, a smaller film is the better choice, and the pricing planner will show you what a lower investment buys.
